About my experience

In recent years I combined different freelance jobs with each other, often 3 days per week for one company and 2 days for the other. I strongly believe that the combination made me richer in knowledge and skills than I would be working for just one company.

About my experience

In recent years I combined working as an employee for max. 4 days per week and I spent about 1 to 2 days per week on freelance projects or in my own retail/ e-commerce company. I strongly believe that the combination made me richer in knowledge and skills, so I can recommend everyone to find a professional ‘pet-project’ outside of regular working hours.

AquaTru is the European reseller of the AquaTru water purifier and the AirDoctor/AmazingAir air cleaner via our Shopify webshops. Within the company I’m responsible for all marketing channels and a small team. We use social selling as one of most important marketing pillars and with closely together with influencers and affiliates.

Iron/Out only focuses on website performance.

In 2022, I helped IG&H setting up their product marketing activities for a brand new SaaS product that is being developed for the Retail sector. Charlie’s Travels is an Africa-based sustainable travel scale-up focused on offering off the beaten track experiences through Eastern and Southern Africa. Within Charlie’s Travels I was responsible for (re-)setting up the marketing department and started working agile including the hiring of a 10 fte multidisciplinary team. We finished numerous projects like new websites and fully renewed online marketing stack. I was also a member of the company management team. My time at Charlie’s Travels ended earlier then expected because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Maximizers was a booking agency for DJ’s and artists. Furthermore, we produce tailor made party concepts and we organize events. I also play as a DJ myself. Last year we provided DJ’s and acts for about 150+ bookings. We decided to ‘pauze’ the company because of the Corona situation.

Pritle was an investment app for indexfunds, and I was responsible for strategizing and building the online growth stack including experimenting with a variety of channels and tools. Pritle was sold to BinckBank in April 2017. Within Binck I was responsible for the rebranding of Pritle into Binck Forward, integrating all online marketing activities/channels, co-creating a new digital strategy and the launch of the online campaigns for two new products Binck Comfort and Binck Savings.

Bax-Shop.nl is the biggest online retailer focused on music instruments and DJ-gear in the Netherlands. It is the company where I learned all about SEO, writing copy and managing webshops. When I started they only had 30 people and now they are over 450 and it’s one of the fastest growers in the Netherlands and Belgium.
